Morrisdale July 4th Parade
Posted on 07/04/2009.
Another Morrisdale July 4th parade has come and gone. It was hot and humid, but everyone enjoyed the fun. The fire department sent a fire truck and the police sent a car as well, to lead the parade of children dressed in red, white and blue, decorated bikes, wagons and pets, and participation by the "Go Green" green area, and Purple shirted Purple Posy People. Mayor Mary Lib Saleh rode along with Jeff Quinn and retired Air Force Ernie Matthews rode along with current Air Force Patrick Oliver. The parade ended with awarding prizes and some ice cream, and activities for the kids. Now, back to the air conditioning. Photos have been loaded in the Photo Gallery.

Yellow Area Fiesta Party
Posted on 06/29/2009.
Members of the Yellow Area (and MNA board members) gathered at the Taliaferro's home (thanks to them for hosting) to celebrate the coming of summer and good friends with a Mexican Fiesta themed party. MNA provided the main course of fajitas while member provided the sides. There was even a men's and women's pinata event after dinner to see who could bust the pinatas. And as a special treat, a short video of Curtis Brown taking revenge on the men's pinata for being so well-built! Photos are in the Photo Gallery section inside the Member Area.

You may have noticed a new look to morrisdale.org! I've been busy making updates to the website to improve the look and feel and make it easier for you to find things and log in or request a new password.
You'll find a log in box in the upper left of every page that requires you to be logged in to view that content. You'll also find a forgot password link to take you to the page where you can request a new password be sent to you (but you have to know your username to do so).
I hope you enjoy the new design.

Purple Area Celebrates Summer and Flag Day
Posted on 06/24/2009.
Purple Area MNA members recently got to celebrate with two parties almost back to back. They first gathered together on May 30th at the Reid home to celebrate with a Summer Fun Party. MNA provided the main course and some desserts, while members provided sides.
Then the Purple Area held its annual Flag Day picnic and celebration on Sunday, June 14th in Briarwood Court. MNA provided sandwiches and chips and lemonade while members brought over some great desserts (brownies were in abundance!). The Flag Day picnic was organized by the Quinns and has become an annual event for the purple area. Photos of both events are in the 2009 Photo Gallery section in the Member Area.
